'If you're going to do something, do it all the way. If you're going to Albany, you don't get off in Poughkeepsie.'Jerry C. Esposito

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Jerry C Esposito who was born in United States on April 12, 1933 and passed away on January 14, 2021. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Jerry C. Esposito, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all whose lives he touched. Jerry lost his battle to COVID-19 on January 14, 2021.

He was born April 12, 1933 in The Bronx, NY to John and Mary Esposito and is survived in legacy by his wife, the love of his life, Betty Esposito.

He was the beloved father of his three daughters, Linda Marie Yannone and her husband, Phillip, Jo Ann Esposito, Jeri Michele Sugrue and her husband, James. He was the proud grandfather to Dylan Lantry and his wife, Aundrea, Tyler Lantry, and Corianna Yannone. He was also survived by his dearly loved sister, who he chose to dub, ‘St. Josephine’.

Jerry grew-up and attended schools in the Bronx, NY. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Three of which were spent overseas during the Korean War. Upon being discharged, he attended and graduated Westchester Community College with honors, going on to seek his degree in mechanical engineering at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ.

He and Betty then moved to Brewster, NY where Jerry retained the position of building inspector in the town of Southeast. Afterwards, they retired to Cape Coral, FL where he was able to follow his dream of golf and ‘good times’. He was an avid and skilled golfer. He enjoyed politics and sports and was always rooting for the underdog.

He was a generous, loving, people- person, forming many friendships and relationships spanning decades. As Jerry said it best, ‘You must be a good friend to have good friends’.

However, of all the people he touched, his finest achievement in life would be his adored family, whom he cherished infinitely.

He adored his two rescue kitties, Tina and Taz. In lieu of flowers donations can be mailed and made to: Animal Care Trust Fund, 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33912 or you can visit the website: Leegov.com/animalservices/trustfund/donations

 Blessings and love,
 Jerry’s family
